Australian Vogue has featured its first plus-size model in next month’s issue of the magazine.
Robyn Lawley, who wears an Australian size 14, was cast for a ten-page spread for the September addition of the magazine, making her the first full figured model to be featured in the magazine since it started 52 years ago.
In the spread, entitled ‘Belle Curve,’ the Sydney native shows off designs by Australian designers Alex Perry, Willow and Carla Zampatti. This is not the 22-year-old's first time in the spotlight: she has made
previous appearances in Vogue Italia and Australian Cosmopolitan, and
stole the spotlight on the cover of French Elle in April.
Kirstie
Clements, the editor for Vogue Australia, called Robyn a "super-duper
model,” saying that she was not cast based on her size.
"She’s
really beautiful and you have to make the judgement about whether a

we say goodbye to summer months, we also say goodbye to some vivid
tankini tops - where a light, often patterned top combines with bikini
bottoms to create this modern summery piece of beachwear. But as
mentioned. This autumn, if you're out to do a little business and
look good with it, you might want to consider one of the many satin
skirts suits. These numbers can help deal with the slight drop in
temperatures that autumn brings, as well as helping you impress those
around you. There are a wide range of printed versions, with a lot of
oriental influences this season. Red Chinese style prints on black satin

The Full Figured Fashion Week take place to New York, from June 16th to the 19th: an event that unites the whole curvy world. This is the third year that former plus-size model Gwen DeVoe has produced the show, which featured 15 designers from Canada, the United States and Europe. In interviews with various media outlets, she's said she was inspired to launch the event because prestigious New York Fashion Week designers weren't creating clothing for women like her. Gwen DeVoe, CEO of DSE and Executive Producer of FFFWeek says, "It is time for designers, retailers, boutique owners and businesses with an interest in the plus-size market to combine their resources and their talents to create a memorable event that will rival all other Fashion Weeks.” It’s no surprise that plus-size

For years, plus size teens and young adults had little in the way
of choice for fashionable, youthful clothing. They were forced to shop
at "fat" stores, and find the least conservative styles at the "plus
size ladies or guys" store. Manufacturers and retail stores would call
all their plus size clothing, "teen friendly" when in reality the large
flower print smock type blouses didn't even really appeal to old ladies!
It took years for the s/m/l designer mindset to realize that the
majority of women and men, let alone teens aren't s/m/l. Plus size
pre-teens had it even worse. At that awkward growing stage, pre-teens
had to buy jeans that were way too baggy, long and shapeless and even
with alteration, they would grow out of them quickly. Swimming suits
for pre-teens went to size 14 or 16 if they were lucky, and they were
never sized properly or attractive. JC Penneys

to celebrate them and gives plus size women a lot of alternatives from
which to choose in their wardrobe.
What is Urban Clothing?
In ways urban clothing is hard to define because it
changes person-to-person, regionally, and even according to musical
tastes. Some urban styles are influenced with the hip-hop and rap
culture, for example.
Meanwhile if you go overseas to Europe the urban
scene is a little different. You still see the influence of hip-hop and
rap, but there's also a lot of other vivid looks. Some of these owe
their roots to the sports world, while others hav
