 Baur Versand was founded in 1925 as Germany’s first mail-order shoe
business. The Otto Group has owned a stake in Baur since 1997. Today the
multichannel provider’s product range consists of fashion, shoes,
furniture and home accessories. Its target group are customers with high
standards of quality and service.
Approximately 70 percent of all
customer orders are now received online. The Web shop has strict
guidelines for privacy and ease of use and bears the TÜV "certified
ordering process" label, so customers can have confidence in the
security of their data and smooth processing of their order. At
its headquarters in Burgkunstadt, Upper Franconia, Baur Versand operates
the region’s largest fashion and department store: Kaufwelt Baur offers
deals for the whole family on 20,000 m2 of selling space.
Over 60% of all orders from around three million customers are already
placed via the Internet. What’s more, www.baur.de is one of the ten most visited German Online Shops.
