The history of the Brazilian company Melinde begins in the mid-eighties the last century.

At that time the company had neither own name, nor a certain niche yet, it was usual studio with modest production.

At that time the fashion plus size was something completely new, only there were small specialized shops. In this niche there was a fine opportunity for growth.

And since the beginning of the 90th years, the studio starts working only with clothes for stout women.

Nevertheless, only in 2002 the Melinde company opened the first own shop, in the traditional region of Santana, in San-Paulo. From this point the new phase of expansion and growth began.

With increase in requirements to clothes models for full ladies and with expansion of outlets, the company continued to extend and develop the production.
