The number one Australian plus size brand City Chic, wowed audiences as they
took center stage during L'oreal Fashion Week in Melbourne Australia. Showcasing
their winter collection, City Chic
brought a mixture of sexy runway looks, wearable evening and day wear, and
models who easily inspired plus size women across the globe.
City Chic did not hold back as super
model Laura Wells strutted in a stunning lace, fishnet and shorts combination
that most plus size designers would never see fit for plus size. Among
the other models was crowd favorite Courtney Maxwell who is not only a model,
but an assistant buyer for the brand. Courtney recently designed a collection
of sleepwear which sold out to rave reviews. Also, all the way from the United
States the winners of the City Chic
Fashion Show contest, Sommer Green and Lola Parker were flown to Australia and
participated in the fashion show.
Philip Ryan, International President at City Chic says "City Chic is proud to showcase curves
on the runway in another world first. For L'oreal Melbourne Fashion
Festival to put plus fashion on the main stage at the major Australian fashion
event is a huge step for the global plus industry. City Chic is glad to be leading the
charge and we look forward to more recognition for the plus industry in the
future."
City Chic
came into the US market in the latter part of 2010 with an online presence that
